Tim Embleton

Married to his wife Jayne with two sons and a step-daughter, Tim lives in Reading and has been a financial planner since 1990. He previously ran Time Financial Planning Ltd, which was set up in 2011 to provide Independent Financial Planning advice. He holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) including specific qualifications in Long Term Care Planning, Taxation and Trusts, and Investment Principles and Markets. He also has ten years’ specific experience in school fees planning.

In his spare time Tim still plays football and tennis on a regular basis and enjoys walking the four (!) family dogs. “People often ask me why I do this. Without going into too much detail here, my dad died at age 63 at a point when he was planning to start enjoying his retirement. It struck me that my parents both worked really hard to build a secure financial future but never really got to realise that dream. People either don’t save enough for their future or end up saving too much! I get a huge amount of pleasure when I am able to help people to see that they’ve actually got enough saved already, and that they can retire perhaps sooner than they thought, and can start living the dream before it’s too late!”
